What You'll Do The Registrar will offer administrative assistance to clinical personnel to streamline the clerical aspects for Clinic 2,
our family practice clinic. This position plays an important role in creating a positive first impression for patients while guiding them through the registration process. The successful candidate will embody Grand River’s values and professionalism. The Patient Registrar will manage a wide range of tasks, including
Provide reception and front desk support, including registration and switchboard coverage.
Operate the switchboard by answering calls, routing them appropriately, taking messages, and paging providers or staff as needed. Ensure all telephone procedures are followed during emergencies.
Complete patient intake for outpatient and emergency visits by gathering information from patients or guarantors and entering it into the system. Offer assistance to visitors, reviewing hospital guidelines, billing expectations, and patient rights.
Address questions related to the registration process and verify that all personal and financial information is collected and accurately recorded in the electronic record.
Identify and document the correct payment source tied to the patient’s visit.
Who We're Looking For
Courses or experiences showing commitment, reliability, or work ethic
Speaks both English and Spanish to better serve our community, but not required
Brings clinic experience, but we'll train the right person
What We Offer Our total rewards package includes
Pay Range:
$17.50 - $21.14/hour (based on experience)
