is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Insurance Defense Legal Assistant
to join their team
on a contract basis, with the potential for a full-time opportunity based on performance and firm needs . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting litigation attorneys, particularly within insurance defense, and
must be highly skilled in e‑filing in both state and federal courts.

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling insurance defense matters.
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence.
Perform state and federal e‑filings accurately and within deadlines.
Manage and maintain attorney calendars using Milana or other legal calendaring systems.
Organize, maintain, and retrieve files within the iManage document management system.
Track case deadlines, maintain dockets, and assist with trial preparation as needed.
Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications
Minimum 3?5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary supporting Insurance Defense or general litigation attorneys.
E‑filing experience in both state and federal courts is required.
Experience with Milana (or similar calendaring system) and iManage preferred.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Professional, mature demeanor and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
