About the Position Join one of Delaware’s premier venues and help couples bring their dream weddings and special events to life. This role is responsible for soliciting, booking, planning, and coordinating wedding-related and private events while maximizing banquet space utilization and achieving established sales goals.

Essential Functions Administrative Support – Handle administrative duties efficiently, including phone and email communication, payment processing, data entry, filing, and scheduling appointments.

– Work closely with clients to plan and personalize events, managing details such as space setup, timelines, equipment needs, menus, themes, and décor.

Tastings Coordination – Schedule and coordinate client tastings in collaboration with the culinary team.

Contracts & Documentation – Prepare and execute event contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and other necessary documentation to communicate client expectations across departments.

Onsite Event Support – Attend and oversee booked events to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. Weekend availability is required.

Client Relations – Address and resolve client and guest concerns quickly and professionally to ensure satisfaction and uphold venue standards.

Reporting – Prepare regular sales reports and updates on event status and performance metrics.

– Stay informed on competitor offerings, industry trends, and internal procedures to continually refine sales strategies and meet goals.

– Represent the venue positively through local networking and active engagement on wedding platforms such as WeddingWire, The Knot, and MyWedding.com.

– Contribute to a positive, team‑oriented environment that fosters mutual support and success.

Non‑Essential Functions Participate in community and professional networking events to enhance visibility and generate leads.

Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Event Management, or related field.

Experience: Minimum of one year in sales, with a strong preference for wedding or event sales experience.

Skills & Abilities Solid understanding of wedding, catering, and hospitality operations.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and build rapport with clients.

Professional, polished appearance and a confident, positive demeanor.

High ethical standards and integrity in all business dealings.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for sales calls.
