Coordinator for Russell House Events

Can you juggle multiple events, clients, and deadlines with precision and professionalism?

Are you passionate about creating meaningful campus experiences for students and the university community?

The Coordinator for Russell House events executes and coordinates the facility reservation process. The coordinator manages event details, advises clients on appropriate facility uses, food and vendor policies, and provides availability and costs of event spaces. The coordinator, along with the student reservation team, works closely with clients to confirm details, resolve logistical needs, and provide a smooth, well‑prepared experience for over 10,000 events that take place in Russell House. This oversight ensures safe and well‑executed events occur in Russell House University Union to support the recruitment and retention goals of the university.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Serve as the primary contact for scheduling events in Russell House.

Advise clients on food policies, vendor requirements, and event planning best practices.

Lead and support the Student Event Reservation Specialist Team.

Assist in planning and executing departmental events tied to student engagement and university initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a university setting with activities and event planning. Knowledge of event planning software. Understanding of student development theory.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Verbal, written and organizational skills.

The ability to manage multiple tasks and concurrent requests with a high level of accuracy.
