Responsibilities
Under general supervision of the HR Manager. Responsible for full cycle preparation and processing a bi-weekly, multi-state payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payroll. Performs all activities necessary to process payroll, maintains related records, including but not limited to employee deductions, accurate data entry into HRIS, new hire and off-boarding processes, time & attendance, preparing payroll reports and documenting and updating procedures as needed. The Payroll Clerk is responsible for full cycle preparation and processing of bi-weekly, multi-state payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payroll; audit the data entry for the bi-weekly payroll processing; and sends professional reminders to managers and employees as needed. Resolves payroll discrepancies. Responsible for timely data entry and ensures accuracy of payroll records by maintaining database with updates in personnel and status changes, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and garnishments in the HRIS system. Coordinates final pay and compliance. Ensures separation checklist is completed and filed in electronic personnel file. Works with HR team members to ensure proper flow of onboarding & off-boarding process, including accuracy and completeness of information, and supporting documentation for status change forms. Research and resolve employee payroll issues and communicate information to department management and employees. Provides Accounting department with payroll reporting for GL entries. Works with Insperity on Family Medical Leave of Absences, Personal Leave of Absences, Workers Compensation as it relates to payroll, and Unemployment claims. Develop, maintain, and update reports in the HRIS. Interpret, explain, and implement company and governmental policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations. Stays up-to-date with governmental regulations. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements
Two years or more of relevant experience Salary: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour. Expected hours: 40 per week.
