Senior Social Worker – CAAS (Contact Advice & Assessment Service)

Sanctuary Personnel has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker within the CAAS (MASH) Team to work Full Time based in Berkshire. The salary for this permanent Senior Social Worker job is up to £45,441 per annum. Key responsibilities include managing an allocated caseload, working within West Berkshire policies and procedures, and maintaining up to date case notes and records. Manage an allocated caseload to include complex assessments of children, families, and parenting, and other work to meet statutory requirements. Work within West Berkshire policies, procedures, and good practice guidelines to meet the needs of children and families allocated. Work with children, young people, families, carers, and communities to help make informed decisions and contribute to service planning. Maintain up to date case notes and other records, and write reports, including court reports, and give evidence in court. Undertake specialist assessments for court proceedings, including parenting and kinship assessments. Ensure casework is up to date, comprehensively written up, and managed within agreed timescales. Keep up to date with contemporary issues in children’s social work, including legislation and evidence-based practice. Liaise with colleagues and external agencies to gather information and jointly plan and deliver interventions. Participate in planning and reviewing cases of children in care, child protection, and support fostering/adoption arrangements. Provide constructive challenge to enhance practice, procedures, and policies, and promote innovation and new ways of working. Provide leadership and professional wisdom to colleagues and other professionals in situations of high complexity. Model and facilitate reflective and evidence-informed practice, contributing to the development of knowledge and promotion of excellence in the field. Requirements of this Senior Social Worker role include: A social work qualification or equivalent. Understanding of relevant legislation. Registered or eligible for registration.
