Job Overview The IRC Oakland Anti‑Trafficking department provides comprehensive case management services to survivors of trafficking and other violent crimes. Client work is trauma‑informed, strengths‑based, and partnership‑focused. The role includes holistic case management, referrals, community engagement, and documentation within a 36‑month contract with Alameda County.
Major Responsibilities
Provide trauma‑informed case management for survivors of trafficking, including assessment, safety planning, and advocacy.
Ensure timely and culturally appropriate client service delivery and help clients access housing, health care, and legal services.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders, advocate for culturally and linguistically appropriate services, and assist in outreach and training.
Document case notes and manage files, prepare direct‑assistance requests, maintain expense records, and comply with agency policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Key Working Relationships Reports to: Anti‑Trafficking Coordinator. Collaborates with IRC departments: Economic Empowerment, Safety & Wellness, Community Integration, and Immigration; plus external partners such as legal providers, healthcare providers, educational institutions, employment programs, anti‑trafficking task forces, consulates, law enforcement, and community‑based organizations.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
Minimum two years of relevant experience in social services, case management, or related fields.
Undergraduate degree preferred (Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent); significant experience may substitute for education.
Compassionate understanding of survivors of trafficking; maintain a positive, cooperative professional demeanor.
Skilled in trauma‑informed de‑escalation and multicultural teamwork.
Strong written and oral communication with organizational and community partners.
Spanish fluency required.
Prior knowledge of Bay Area services and benefits advantageous.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Working Environment Hybrid schedule. Regular office environment with occasional travel in service delivery area.
Compensation Pay Range:
$26 – $27 per hour (US‑based candidates).
Benefits (US)
10 sick days; 10 paid holidays; 20–25 paid time off days (depending on tenure)
