Youth for Change
is seeking a
Social Worker
in Chico, CA. This full-time position works out of the Chico office and serves the agency by supervising and coordinating children placed in certified foster homes, recruiting, evaluating and certifying potential foster homes, providing and arranging training for foster parents, and liaising with other agencies. The role will involve working with post-adoptive families in need of resources, case management, and planning and facilitating groups and events. The position provides coordination and case work with the Adoptions, THP, THP Plus FCS, and THP Plus populations.
Base pay and benefits
Base pay range:
$22.00/hr - $38.00/hr
(the range provided is determined by Youth for Change; actual pay based on skills and experience). A comprehensive benefits package is available for qualifying positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide support and services to ensure stability of client placement in foster homes
Monitor foster homes for compliance with Title 22 regulations
Provide support and services to ensure stability of youth and families in adoptive homes
Plan and facilitate family events and groups along with monthly respite nights
Maintain timely progress, and quarterly and/or court-ordered reports
Screen and evaluate intake admissions to appropriately match children in emergency placements
Experience and/or Education
Master’s in Social Work (preferred) or related field; a Bachelor’s degree is the minimum
California driver license and clean driving record
Experience working with at-risk children and families
Understanding of the child welfare system
Knowledge of group processes and the ability to apply
Knowledge of 24-hour crisis intervention
Requirements and Compensation The estimated base pay for the Social Worker position is $22.00 to $38.00 per hour; additional compensation may be available. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
