Overview
TQT Prevention Specialist Community-Based – AmeriCorps Under the supervision of the Prevention Program Manager, the member will be responsible for implementing community-based prevention programs, strategies, and initiatives that promote the physical and mental health, as well as the overall well-being, of youth and young adults ages 12 to 24. The role involves engaging with local communities to facilitate culturally responsive educational sessions, coordinate outreach and collaboration with community partners, and support grassroots activities that build resilience, foster healthy development, and empower youth within their own neighborhoods and social networks. Members will receive training and/or certification toward youth mental health and behavioral health.
Responsibilities
Implement community-based prevention programs, strategies, and initiatives that promote physical and mental health of youth and young adults ages 12 to 24.
Engage with local communities to facilitate culturally responsive educational sessions.
Coordinate outreach and collaboration with community partners.
Support grassroots activities that build resilience, foster healthy development, and empower youth within their neighborhoods and social networks.
Receive training and/or certification toward youth mental health and behavioral health.
Program Benefits Training, Stipend.
Terms Car recommended; Permits attendance at school during off hours; Uniforms provided and required; Permits working at another job during off hours.
