Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop and find what they’re looking for; ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver brand promises. Coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events. Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity; demonstrate and guide participants in craft activities; perform face painting and other activities as appropriate. Facilitate and implement party add-ons (e.g., goody bags, balloons) to company standards; communicate events with clients and store team members. Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making calls, and completing paperwork; adjust plans based on client feedback and needs; create backup or emergency plans as needed. Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events; uphold cleanliness and safety standards; set up, break down, and clean before and after each event. Customer Experience

Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions; provide fast and friendly checkout experience. Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments. Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey; assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes; complete merchandise recovery and maintenance; perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned; support shrink and safety programs. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; interact with others in a positive, respectful manner; model company vision and values; cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production. Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms. Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Energetic and enthusiastic personality. Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests of all ages and co-workers; excellent people skills. Experience working with children and children’s events; strong communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal) and listening skills. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills; retail and/or customer service experience. Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to remain standing for long periods; move throughout the store; regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching. Lifting heavy boxes; accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment. Some nights, weekends, and early mornings; climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; potential outdoor work when retrieving carts or unloading trucks.
