Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Law Paralegal to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, empathetic, and knowledgeable in handling sensitive client matters including divorce, custody, child support, adoption, and domestic violence cases. Salary $80k-$100k Responsibilities
Draft and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, discovery requests/responses, declarations, and proposed judgments. Prepare case summaries, trial notebooks, and hearing binders. Manage client files and maintain accurate case records in compliance with firm and legal standards. Coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings with clients and court staff. Conduct legal research and compile information relevant to case proceedings. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients; provide updates, answer basic legal questions (as appropriate), and offer empathetic support. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and other court proceedings. Handle time-sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism. Maintain knowledge of relevant family law statutes, local court rules, and filing procedures. Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a paralegal in family law. Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred. Strong understanding of state and local family law procedures and documentation. Proficiency in case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. High level of professionalism and confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with e-filing and working in multiple court jurisdictions. Knowledge of financial disclosures and marital settlement agreements. Benefits
