Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest is looking to add a Part-time, Administrative Assistant I to our Phoenix, AZ location.
Overview The Administrative Assistant I performs a variety of clerical responsibilities under minimal supervision. Responsible for answering and routing all incoming telephone calls and greeting clients, vendors and visitors to the laboratory. Provides administrative support to the laboratory including correspondences, filing, copying and report production. Receives and routes incoming mail and is responsible for proper routing of outgoing mail.
Responsibilities
Operates a multi-line telephone system. Screens and routes calls courteously and efficiently to ensure clients/vendors receive professional customer service daily.
Greets customers, clients and visitors to the laboratory daily and follows appropriate sign-in procedures to create a positive impression of Eurofins Environment Testing business practices.
Receives and routes mail, faxes and various business correspondences to the appropriate department or employee so that it may be processed in a timely manner daily.
Collects and tabulates information for spreadsheets, reports and databases to produce reports for various laboratory management personnel for internal and external communication purposes.
Performs basic office procedures according to standard operating procedures so information is appropriately maintained.
Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence daily and ensures that it is shipped in the most cost effective manner and received on a timely basis.
Maintains office equipment as needed to ensure proper equipment operations.
Prepares agendas, meeting notes and miscellaneous correspondence upon request to enhance internal communication.
Other duties may be required as needed
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent. Course work in business or computers preferred.
1 year administrative assistant/customer service experience
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs
Operating standard office equipment
Basic office skills
Ability to work with the public
Work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize workload and manage interruptions
Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Position is part-time, non-exempt from overtime pay.
Schedule
will be approximately 24-25 hours per week and can be either 4 - 5 hours per day or 8 hours per day over 3 days.
The compensation range for this position is $20-$22 per hour
depending on level of experience.
Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base compensation of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
