Spring 2026 EHS Co-op Student Primary Responsibilities
Assist EHS Manager/Specialist with a variety of EHS related projects,
Assist with the performance of targeted risk assessments or safety initiatives,
Support the development and rollout of safety work instructions or compliance training,
Assist in the performance of lockout-tagout procedure audit(s) and updates,
Assist EHS Manager/Specialist with review and digitization of paperwork,
Assist with behavior-based safety initiatives, such as concern reports or employee suggestions,
Work safely. Adhere to all company and regulatory EHS policies and procedures, and
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Studies in Safety, Health and/or a related field of study
and
a High School Diploma.
Work Environment The working environment is a typical industrial manufacturing setting consisting of foundry and processing, laboratory, warehousing, and a variety of support office-based surroundings.
The associate will work in all of these areas to support the site in all aspects of Safety, Health, and Environmental Sustainability. This may expose the associate to work near moving mechanical parts / work in elevated temperatures / risk of electrical shock; the typical noise level is moderate noise.
Other Qualifications
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees within the organization.
Effectively demonstrate safe behaviors and good judgement.
Must be capable of accepting and exercising an elevated level of responsibility in keeping and maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
Basic competency is MS Word and Excel.
Understanding or experience with cloud-based software and mobile platforms preferred.
Proficient communication skills.
