Overview

Plan, oversee, organize, and direct OCOM's Registrar Office programs and activities; ensure that assigned registrar functions fulfill institutional goals and objectives; and supervise assigned staff. Responsibilities

Direct the day-to-day operations of the OCOM Registrar's Office Support the OCOM-approved registrar policies and ensure that they are adhered to Ensure compliance with federal, state, university, college, and other outside agency rules and regulations Ensure confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Oversee the registrar budget Maintain all official student documentation, including transcripts, test scores, immunization, health forms, etc Serve as the lead and facilitate the Student Leave of Absence process Serve as a systems administrator for all Student Service platforms, including the SIS and CRM system, and student access to university platforms, as needed Collect and certify that documents are official and within guidelines for accreditation Certify enrollment of students for scholarships, insurance agencies, and other constituencies in line with confidentiality guidelines Create rosters, input grades, and produce transcripts Maintain an OCOM-selected database of student information, create reports, and export data for official reports Serve on committees to represent registration and records Assist other student services areas such as admissions, student affairs, learning specialist and financial aid Serve as liaison for OCOM with state, government, and health agencies, etc Assist with planning and implementation of Commencement and White Coat ceremonies Direct the registrar and records communications and services for OCOM alumni Represent OCOM on the AACOM Registrar group Collect, organize, and analyze OCOM data and produce reports requested by external accrediting bodies and governing boards Submit an annual Registrar Report to the Dean of Student Services Assist in accreditation functions including document creation, data collection, data entry, and staff education on accreditation Support the registrar coordinator with coaching, guiding, and mentoring; provide professional development opportunities for staff Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications

Master's degree and a minimum of 5 years (or Bachelor and 10 years) of full-time experience in the administration of a records/registrar office Previous experience as an osteopathic or allopathic medical college registrar is preferred A team player who values cooperation, mutual support, and team cohesion Key Competencies And Skills
