Duties Performed In The Usual Course Of The Job

The University Site Coordinator serves a critical role within the teacher preparation program. This position is part-time, with faculty members centered within a partnering PK-12 school district. The Coordinator serves three major roles: (1) liaison between the university and school district; (2) instructors for yearlong clinical teaching courses and mentor teacher trainings; (3) supervisors and instructional coaches for their teacher candidates. Professional development will be required. This position is for the Spring 2026 semester.

Educational Requirements For The Position

Requires a minimum of a Master’s degree in education or related field.

Experience Required For The Position

3 years teaching experience in a K-12 setting required.

Current teacher certification required.

Texas Administrative certification (principal or superintendent) preferred.

Effective educator as evidenced by student learning.

Other Requirements For The Position

Site-Coordinators are needed for schools in the east Houston (including Goose Creek CISD) and north Houston areas.

Strong communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Dispositions for technology use and collaborative, school-based initiatives. Conscientious with meeting deadlines.
