Greetings! Caring Community Church in Albion, MI is seeking a Student Ministry Pastor.
Church Description Caring Community is a growing missional church family called to see Jesus transform lives in Calhoun County and beyond. We have been growing by 20% per year, with many teens being baptized in the last two years. We are located in Albion, MI, a diverse college town with great outreach opportunities. Role Description
60% – Student Ministries. As the Student Ministry director/pastor, you will be responsible for the middle school and high school ministry.
40% – Choose your own adventure! Lead another ministry based on your spiritual gifts and interests. Options include tech, video & graphics production, discipleship, outreach, or event planning.
Full time = 40 hrs/week (not 50+)
Sabbath – staff are required to take a Sabbath Day.
Flexible Schedule – staff spend about 1.5 days in the office, plus Sunday mornings. Other work is done remote.
Spiritual Empowerment – the Holy Spirit can accomplish much more than we can. Therefore, twice a week, the staff prays together for a half-hour.
Educational Empowerment – opportunity to earn a free Master’s degree in ministry through our partnership with Indiana Wesleyan University and Trellis.
Team Mentality – our staff prays, brainstorms, problem‑solves, and helps one another.

Godly integrity
A healthy and vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Consistent practice of the spiritual disciplines
Passion for helping teens become the people God created them to be
Agrees with The Wesleyan Church’s Statement of Faith and other doctrinal positions
Teachable, humble, and willing to be held accountable
A team player who is gracious and respectful to leadership, peers, and volunteers
Professional Qualifications
Experience working in student ministry
A gifted teacher who can relate the Bible to students and help them develop an orthodox Christian worldview
Excels at connecting with teens for the purpose of connecting them to Jesus
Self‑Motivated
A track record of being able to recruit, develop and manage volunteers
Has a Bachelor’s degree in ministry
Student Ministry Oversight
Work with volunteers to plan and lead all aspects of Junior and Senior High Youth ministry, including a weekly gathering, monthly events, and annual retreats.
Disciple teens to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Recruit, train, delegate, and encourage adult volunteers for ministry effectiveness.
Provide parents with recommended resources and ideas to disciple their teens.
Involve students in ministry, developing serving opportunities that will allow teens to grow in their God‑given abilities and calling.
Stream at least one gathering each week to connect with those who are unable to attend in person. Maintain other forms of social media as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
