ABOUT THE POSITION The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR department, ensuring smooth and efficient HR processes. This role is responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, supporting payroll and benefits administration, and serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries. The HR Assistant helps foster a positive workplace culture and ensures compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Provide administrative support to the HR department, including filing, data entry, and document management.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
Assist with recruitment activities: posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
Support onboarding and orientation for new hires.
Coordinate training sessions and employee development programs.
Process payroll data and assist with benefits administration.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts, new hire guides, and termination paperwork.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Assist with employee relations, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
Organize and schedule meetings, events, and HR‑related activities.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
Experience & Competencies
High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
1+ years of experience in an administrative or HR support role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of HRIS systems and payroll software preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
