Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
PERM Paralegal
to join our dynamic immigration team. This individual will be primarily responsible for managing and executing the
PERM labor certification process
for employment-based immigration cases. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of DOL regulations, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to handle high-volume, deadline-driven work efficiently and accurately. Paralegal will also work on H-1B and immigrant petition case work as needed. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage the
end-to-end PERM process , including drafting job descriptions, posting requirements, recruitment steps, and audit file preparation. Conduct
Prevailing Wage Determination (PWD)
requests through the Department of Labor’s FLAG system. Oversee all
recruitment efforts
in compliance with DOL regulations, including tracking and documenting recruitment steps. Prepare and file
ETA Form 9089
through the PERM system. Maintain
accurate and timely communication
with attorneys, clients, and sponsored employees throughout the process. Manage case deadlines and ensure compliance with
regulatory timelines . Prepare
audit responses
and coordinate with attorneys on complex case strategy. Maintain and update internal case management systems and reporting tools. Qualifications
Minimum of
2 years of direct experience with PERM labor certification filings
at a law firm or corporate legal department. Strong understanding of
DOL and USCIS employment-based immigration regulations . Proficient in immigration case management systems (e.g., Docketwise, INSZoom, Tracker, or similar). Excellent
written and verbal communication
skills. Exceptional
organizational skills
and attention to detail. Ability to
manage multiple cases
and meet tight deadlines under pressure. Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certification or immigration law training a plus. Hybrid schedule preferred. Position is remote negotiable for non-local applicants. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Education: Bachelor's (Required) Experience: immigration: 2 years (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Columbia, SC 29201
