Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated
Paralegal/Legal Practice Assistant
to join its
Delaware Insurance Defense team . This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced litigation environment. The role is
hybrid , with
four days on-site
and
one remote day each week
from the firm’s Newark office.
Responsibilities
Support attorneys in all phases of insurance defense litigation.
Prepare and file legal documents with Delaware Courts in compliance with local rules.
Draft key legal documents, including petitions, motions, discovery requests, and medical summaries.
Coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings.
Maintain and organize client files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Review, analyze, and summarize medical records and case materials.
Provide comprehensive litigation support as needed.
Track and meet daily time billing requirements.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum of
3 years of experience
in Insurance Defense litigation and familiarity with Delaware law.
Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
from an ABA-approved program preferred.
Prior experience with time entry and billing to meet daily billable hour goals.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with attorneys, staff, courts, clients, and experts.
Legal research experience; proficiency with
Lexis
a plus.
Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite .
