Position Overview The law firm of Leib Knott Gaynor LLC, located in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, is seeking to add an additional paralegal to its continually growing health care litigation team. Due to increased work and clientele, the firm needs a self‑motivated, driven paralegal who actively participates in the trial and litigation process. Applicants should have strong communication, organizational, research, and writing skills. The role involves extensive work with medical records and medical professionals, conducting medical research, and full involvement in discovery, trial participation, and trial attendance. Candidates must be confident, outgoing, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently in a high‑paced, team‑focused environment. Qualifications

Paralegal Certificate, Paralegal Degree, Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree, or medical background

At least one year of paralegal experience (litigation or medical records experience a plus)

Experience preparing records, assembling exhibits, pleadings, summarizing transcripts, medical record analysis, discovery, and trial preparation

Experience drafting and responding to standard discovery demands (interrogatories, requests to produce documents, etc.)

Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management systems

Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical

Clear and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing

Ability to multitask and manage a variety of demands daily

Ability to work independently and proactively

Responsibilities

Prepare records, review and prepare exhibits, analyze medical records, and assist in trial preparation

Contact outside sources (government agencies, etc.) to obtain public information and review and analyze the same

Search and retrieve information from court‑related databases and other online case information sources

Prepare summary of pertinent transcripts

Assemble chronologies of pertinent facts and key documents

Review, analyze, and organize document productions by opposing parties and co‑defendants

Determine, prepare, and organize materials needed for expert witness review

Conduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses

Manage documents and organize case files
