Job Description The Clinic Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing diagnostic images within the clinic environment. Depending on the type of clinic, they may also be responsible for phlebotomy and registration of patients. Department:
Charleston Walk-In Clinic Requirements:
ARRT, IEMA, Associates Degree Responsibilities: Accurately use image identification including documentation in patient records (charts) of proper consents, orders, and screening forms. Determine the portion of the body to be imaged and properly position the body for the images. Follow proper policy and protocol for procedures as outlined in protocol guides and hospital policy. Maintain equipment by routine cleaning and operations checks. Obtain and record patient history, vital signs, symptoms, or complaints prior to the physician seeing the patient and assist with exams/procedures at the physician's request. Perform miscellaneous office duties such as answering the phone, scheduling patients, cleaning exam rooms between patients, etc. Perform phlebotomy work as ordered by Providers. Process images to PACS system. Select proper techniques and accessories for proper exposures. Utilize ALARA principles to reduce radiation exposure to staff members and patients. Utilize the Hospital Information System (HIS) to obtain patient information, verify orders, complete charges, and process studies. Utilize proper safety techniques to perform general radiology exams and provide excellent quality imaging. Requirements: AA (Required) AS (Required) ARRT - Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire Sarah Bush Lincoln IEMA - Illinois Emergency Management Agency - State of Illinois Compensation: Estimated Compensation Range: $23.87 - $37.00 Pay based on experience
