Registered Nurse – ICU Travel Position
Location: Rhinelander, WI
Job Type: Travel Contract

Pay: $2,459/week
Job Description We are seeking a skilled Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Rhinelander, WI on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, requiring advanced monitoring, rapid clinical decision-making, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, adaptable, and experienced in high-acuity ICU environments.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct and continuous care to critically ill patients.
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage complex IV therapies.
Operate and maintain advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team on patient treatment plans.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and recovery expectations.
Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and ICU best practices.
Qualifications
Current and valid RN license in Wisconsin (or compact eligibility).
Minimum 1–2 years of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
