Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time to various locations within the US during the clinical rotations. This is not a state-specific travel position; assignments can be located in any of the Nightingale SOFE areas. Please see the link below for the list of all our SOFE (Supervised On-ground Field Experience) locations.

Travel and lodging accommodations will be provided by the organization. Supervised On-Ground Field Experience (SOFE) Areas (nightingale.edu) The starting budgeted salary for this position begins at $93,500.

Nightingale College uses a faculty ladder with five levels: Instructor, Assistant Professor I, Assistant Professor II, Associate Professor, and Professor. Placement on this ladder is determined at the time of offer, based on degree level and years of nursing academia experience. Role and Responsibilities The Assistant Professor facilitates on-ground education by incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and industry trends, promoting an interdisciplinary approach to advanced practice nursing education and healthcare delivery. Responsibilities include delivering the nursing curriculum aligned with the Program's mission, engaging with learners, evaluating their achievement potential, and ensuring the success of Nursing Education Services. Facilitates learning at various SOFE sites, including clinical, simulation, or skills labs across the US. Responsible for teaching and evaluating learners in Practical Nursing, Baccalaureate, and Master’s Degree Nursing Programs. Maintains open communication with learners regarding attendance, performance, and evaluations, submitting reports as required. Adheres to and enforces expectations of partner facilities. Participates in faculty meetings, committees, shared decision-making, and other activities. May be assigned to various modalities, including experiential, didactic, evaluations, and NCLEX coaching. May carry additional teaching loads and participate in functional projects. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution, with 0-1 year of relevant experience. Active, unencumbered RN or APRN license from the state of residence, with the ability to obtain licensure in any jurisdiction required by the College. Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential or commitment to obtain it within one year. Current knowledge in multiple nursing practice areas. Two years of clinical nursing experience within the past five years. Supervisory experience in clinical education is preferred. Maintains immunizations and certifications as required. Additional contributions include professional development, SME roles, committee service, and learner load as per faculty matrix. Experience in Concept-Based Nursing Education and distance education is preferred. Familiarity with learning management software, such as Canvas, preferred. Proficiency with modern technology platforms and adaptability to various software. *** This is NOT a remote or classroom teaching role .*** *** This position requires 100% travel to facilitate clinical teaching at SOFE locations across the US. Assignments are not state-specific.
