The Children’s Place is seeking a dedicated Child & Family Therapist to join our Counseling Center team and to provide trauma-informed therapy to children ages eight and younger. Our mission

In recognition of the difficult work that we do, The Children’s Place prioritizes our team’s mental health needs and embraces a flexible work environment. What You’ll Do
Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based modalities like Play Therapy, EMDR, Theraplay®, TF‑CBT, and PCIT. Maintain a caseload of approximately 20 clients, with 13–15 sessions weekly. Develop treatment plans and collaborate with caregivers and community partners. Participate in crisis response, community outreach, and interdisciplinary team meetings. Document therapeutic activities and submit timely billing summaries. What We’re Looking For
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field. Licensure in Missouri (dual licensure with Kansas preferred). Preferred certifications: Registered Play Therapist, EMDR, Theraplay®. Experience with child development (ages 0–8), trauma, and protective services. Strong communication, organizational, and tech skills. Why Join The Children's Place
