Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Patient Access Representative is often the first point of contact, representing BJC with high standards of customer service, compassion, and professionalism. This role involves facilitating patient entry into BJC facilities, requiring emotional intelligence, attention to detail, and knowledge of insurance and regulatory standards. Accurate data collection and patient safety are critical. Responsibilities

Use critical thinking to solve problems and respond to patient needs, ensuring positive experiences and accurate record-keeping. Perform hospital registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and document management across BJC systems. Ensure compliance with regulations such as Medicare Secondary Payer, HIPAA, and JCAHO standards. Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED No experience required Preferred Requirements
