As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you play a vital role in the rehabilitation team, working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement, reduce pain, and restore function after injury, illness, or surgery. Key responsibilities include: Patient Care Implementation:
Assist in executing treatment plans designed by the physical therapist to meet patients' rehabilitation goals and needs. Therapeutic Exercises and Activities:
Lead patients through prescribed exercises and activities to improve their physical function. Educate patients on proper techniques, monitor progress, and provide feedback for safe and effective participation. Modalities and Physical Agents:
Properly apply treatment modalities, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatments as necessary. Patient and Family Education:
Educate patients and families on injury prevention, body mechanics, and pain management techniques. Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
Track patient responses to treatments, document progress, and communicate with the supervising physical therapist to modify plans as needed. Qualifications
Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program Current license or certification in the state of practice TMC is an equal opportunity employer.
