Electrical Estimator - $70K to $90K/ Arvada, CO
M-F - 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
DIRECT HIRE

About the Role As a Switchgear Electrical Estimator, you'll be responsible for developing accurate, detailed cost estimates for medium and high-voltage switchgear and related equipment. You will work closely with engineering, sales, and project management teams to prepare bids that meet project requirements and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Review technical specifications, one-line diagrams, and project plans to determine switchgear requirements.
Develop detailed material and labor cost estimates for switchgear systems (e.g., switchboards, panelboards, motor control centers, transfer switches).
Prepare RFQs and coordinate with suppliers/manufacturers to obtain accurate pricing and lead times.
Use internal tools for proposals.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and post-bid reviews to clarify scope, compliance, and pricing strategy.
Collaborate with internal engineering and procurement teams to ensure proposal accuracy and feasibility.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, with specific experience in switchgear systems.
Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, NEC/NFPA codes, and UL requirements.
Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, specifications, and submittal packages.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
