On behalf of the European Space Agency, we will be soon looking for a highly skilled System Modelling and Simulation Engineer to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.

What is expected from you:

Support the definition of requirements, architectures, deployments and verification methods for system-level simulators used in the different project phases.

Provide support to Projects on system-level simulators, also facilitating the adoption of novel technologies, methods and tools, such as: ▪ System Concept Simulators supporting early mission phases. ▪ Functional Verification Simulators (SVF, ETB, EFM, I/F Simulators). ▪ Real-time Simulators and Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulators. ▪ Distributed and Federated Simulators. ▪ End-to-End Simulation Frameworks.

Contribute to the specification of simulation standards and support simulation model reuse.

Support Project and R&D activities in development and porting of simulation models in conformance to simulation standards and architectures.

Assist the relevant Working Groups in RATIO-SIM.

Support the application of modelling and simulation technologies in alignment to their application in Digital (Twin) Spacecraft contexts.

What you offer :

Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Physics, Engineering or Computer Science.

Knowledge and experience with software engineering and semantic modelling.

Knowledge and experience with spacecraft functional verification (Simulation Modelling, Real-Time Simulator development, testing and evaluation. Spacecraft database management systems (Data Modelling, Software Development, Model Driven Software Generation, Monitoring and Procedure Control Languages)).

Data Quality and Data Management.
