Overview

My client is a top notch HVAC and Plumbing Mechanical Contractor. They are actively looking for HVAC Commercial Technicians with open shop experience. Someone mid-level install and service technicians. The HVAC Technician position is responsible for inspecting, testing, adjusting, and balancing heating, cooling, and ventilating systems in commercial and industrial buildings. Has exceptional operational understanding of HVAC systems including split systems, DX systems, glycol, controls, etc. Ability to train customers and contractors on use of equipment. Performs standard Preventative Maintenance duties on all HVAC Equipment efficiently and without requiring supervision. Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems, changes out compressors, failed parts, etc. on all A/C equipment. Has knowledge and ability to proficiently solder, braze refrigerant lines, water lines, etc. Communicates daily with dispatcher reporting job-by-job information about equipment ID, estimated time to complete job, labor hours and parts used. Communicates and works with sales associates and senior level associates on customer solutions. Diagnoses network issues and works with a variety of vendors to achieve successful unit integration in building management systems (BMS). Reads, interprets, utilizes and trains on schematics and control circuits. Manages larger Start-up and Commissioning projects. Directs a team of installing contractors. Efficiently completes the turnover of equipment to owner. Interacts with customers professionally and presents HVAC and ETS in a positive light. Presents self as a senior representative of the company. Assists in training of the HVAC Field Assistant Technicians. Properly handles refrigerant, reclaimer, vacuum pump and other essential tools. Works in a safe manner and follows industry standard safety practices including knowledge of MSDS, tool safety, equipment safety and ladder safety guidelines. Properly operates and maintains Company Vehicle. Adheres to all company policies. Has experience with VRF systems. Has a DE HVAC license (preferred but not necessary). Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Commercial HVAC. Proficient working with HVAC equipment. Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. Universal Refrigerant Certification. Valid driver’s license. Excellent customer service experience. Available to perform scheduled on-call & overtime duties. Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct reports. Travel

Outside of PA/NJ/DE Less than 10%. Essential Physical Functions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is predominantly inside a customer’s data center. Associate will be exposed to loud noises above 85 decibels for possibly more than 8 hours. The work environment requires an on time arrival to customer appointment. Work successfully and accurately under the pressure of time constraints, a non-standard schedule, adverse weather conditions, customer demands and backlog constraints. Language Skills
