AHMG GYN Surgery at East Orlando – Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) serving AdventHealth East Orlando. General Summary
The PA under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for: Performs physical examinations of patients; evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic Gyn patients. Assist in surgical cases with the provider within the hospital setting 1-2 days a week Procedures to include IUD removal and insertions, Biopsies, Nexplanon insertion and removals Assist in the OR as needed with hysterectomies, hysteroscopies, bladder and organ prolapse, myomectomies, and more Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc. Monitors the patient's course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed Orders preoperative and postoperative medications as needed Collaborates with physician as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public Strong communication skills Schedule Details
Monday-Friday out-patient Campuses Covered: AH Celebration; AH Apopka, AH Winter Park and AH Kissimmee as needed only Knowledge and Skills Required
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients Strong communication skills Strong medical decision-making skills Bilingual/Spanish speaking needed Required Education/Experience
Master\'s degree in Physician Assistant (PA-C) Studies Gyn surgery experience required Licensure, Certification, and Registration
Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license Certification by NCCPA, ANCC or other nationally recognized certification organization BLS & ACLS
