The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Ambulatory service

When you join our team of over 45 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.

The role you’ll contribute: Supports rehab therapy care delivery by preparing and assisting in treatment area, patients, equipment, and materials.

The value you’ll bring to the team: Anticipates needs and assists staff with patient care, treatment and other tasks by correctly and promptly carrying out assigned activities/duties. Ensures patient and staff safety by recognizing situations which place patient or staff at risk and responds appropriately.

Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.

Maintains safe and clean working environments, Ensures supplies are stocked and equipment is maintained, while adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.

Communicate appropriately and effectively with patients, family and health care professionals within and across care settings and communities.

Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: High School education or equivalent.

Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
