Inpatient Rehabilitation Physical Therapist – Travel Position

Location: Montrose, CO Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x7s Days Pay: $2,285/week Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Inpatient Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to join a healthcare facility in Montrose, CO, on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients recovering from illness, surgery, or injury, and provide evidence-based therapy to restore mobility, strength, and independence. The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, and experienced in inpatient rehab settings. Key Responsibilities

Perform evaluations to assess patients’ physical abilities, functional needs, and rehabilitation goals. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Deliver therapy interventions including gait training, strengthening, balance activities, and functional mobility exercises. Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, safe mobility, and home exercise programs. Accurately document evaluations, progress notes, and therapy sessions in compliance with facility and regulatory standards. Work closely with occupational therapy, speech therapy, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated patient care. Support patients in achieving independence and improving quality of life through evidence-based rehabilitation practices. Qualifications

Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Colorado (or compact license). Minimum of 1 year of recent PT experience, preferably in inpatient rehabilitation. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test. Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills. Compassionate, patient-focused approach with experience in rehab care. Benefits
