Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist

to provide peer support services in

Stark County, Ohio , as a member of the Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) Team. The Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist provides guidance, hope, and support towards recovery through personal experience and growth on a reciprocal basis. Multiple shifts are available for a flexible schedule.

Position pays $16-18 an hour! Duties Include: Mentor and assist youth and families through mental health crises and restore calm within the family. Assist in identifying resources, supports, and services based on youth and family needs. Work collaboratively with other members of the Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) Team to further support youth and families throughout the stabilization and transition phases. Function as part of an interdisciplinary team and develop and maintain effective relationships with community professionals. Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Certified Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services or willing to obtain this certification (we will assist!). Have lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child who has been involved with behavioral health care services. Have and maintain an excellent driving record. Must be willing to complete and have favorable results for criminal background check, drug screening, and driving check if selected for the position.
