Full Time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Location:
Columbus Springs Dublin
Schedule:
3:00pm-11:00pm; 40 hours per week

The BHT is responsible for conducting functional analyses of patient behavior, participating as a member of the treatment team, contributing to the Master Treatment Plan and implementing appropriate interventions from the plan. The BHT also conducts individual and group psycho‑evaluations, leisure activities and life‑skill training and coaching for all patients.
Essential Functions
Observes and monitors patient status according to patient monitoring standards, policies, and procedures, including vital signs, weight log, intake and output, dietary intake, 15‑minute round sheets, admission checklists, etc.
Provides verbal and written input to nursing staff via ongoing reporting and end‑of‑shift report so patient needs are prioritized.
Demonstrates proficiency and skill in providing care to patients including daily living activities, responses to codes, life coaching, etc.
Provides timely and accurate information on patient behaviors and progress to the interdisciplinary team.
Provides leadership and/or co‑leadership of group therapy sessions related to leisure skills, life skills and psychoeducation.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) within first 30 days of employment.
HWC (Handle with Care) within first 30 days of employment.
1 year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting preferred.
