The Network Float Pool is a division of HonorHealth supporting inter-campus floating. We will consider your preferences for unit assignments, but you may be asked to float to less preferred campuses based on staffing needs, skill set, and rotation.

Responsibilities
Job Summary
This position involves setting up, operating, and managing respiratory care equipment and procedures for diagnosing and treating respiratory diseases in both general and critical care settings. The role includes evaluating therapeutic outcomes, transcribing physician orders, and performing diagnostic tests such as blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing. Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators, ensuring airway patency and appropriate humidification. Familiarity with various ventilator modes is required. Assist in transporting ventilated patients. Administer routine respiratory treatments, including aerosol therapy, nebulized medications, oxygen therapy, suctioning, breathing exercises, and support with CPAP/BiPAP. Educate patients and families about therapies, and prioritize daily tasks for efficient patient care. Perform arterial punctures and blood tests, calculate diagnostic metrics, and ensure quality control. Report critical results promptly. Prepare and transport materials for therapy, verify patient identity, and document all procedures and responses accurately in medical records. Review physician prescriptions for completeness and assess patient needs across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations to determine appropriate respiratory care levels. Assist physicians during bedside procedures, take verbal orders, and perform emergency interventions like bag-mask ventilation. Participate in resuscitations and trauma responses. Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and exercise testing, and troubleshoot equipment issues. Ensure equipment cleanliness and maintenance. Perform additional duties as assigned. Graduate of a 2-year AMA-approved Respiratory Care program. Required. Experience
Licenses and Certifications
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
