Veterinary Client Service Representative - Emergency
Job Type: Full‑Time
Shift times and days TBD, 10‑hour shifts
Location: La Mesa, California
Experience & Skills Requirements
1‑2 years of veterinary clinical/hospital experience required
Veterinary Emergency or Urgent Care experience highly preferred
Ability to work on weekend day
High school diploma or equivalent
EzyVet Experience preferred
Role Responsibilities
Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow
Greet clients and their pets with prompt professionalism and courtesy
Answer multi-phone line, providing friendly, informative client service over the phone
Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and present financial estimates to clients
Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems
Enter/update client information into the practice management system
Admit incoming patients, discharge outgoing patients
Accurately process payments and discuss payment options with clients
Maintain all aspects of workplace organization and cleanliness
Fax/e‑mail information to clients and primary veterinarian medical staff
Facilitate obtaining medical records from primary veterinarians
Obtain client signatures on corresponding legal forms
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management team

negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $20‑$25/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This pay rate includes shift differential pay.
