About the Role The ideal candidate for the RN position is highly motivated with a passion for the beauty and wellness industry and ready to serve as a brand ambassador for Azul. This is a part‑time role based out of our Ft. Myers clinic.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities)

Review patient charts for health history and ensure that the necessary pre‑operative evaluations have been completed. Ensure permission for surgery has been given.

Prepare for the arrival of patients to the surgery center by making sure that proper supplies and equipment are available and functioning properly.

Complete an assessment of the patient, start IV, and administer necessary medications as ordered.

Assist CRNA before, during, and after induction of anesthesia and with the administration of medications.

Monitor sterile and aseptic techniques in all areas of the perioperative process.

Monitors that Universal Precautions are maintained.

Communicate appropriate information to all team members concerning patient care throughout the perioperative stay.

Safely carry out physician’s orders; accurately and promptly, documenting all activities.

Keeps surgery center manager apprised of unusual occurrences, room activity, personnel performance/behavior, physician interaction, patient condition and equipment problems.

Recognize and respond appropriately to crises during the perioperative phase, seeking assistance as needed.

Observe all safety precautions and comply with all health and safety rules and procedures of the facility.

Receive patient into the recovery room after surgery. Assess and evaluate the patient. Monitor the patient continuously during their recovery phase. Document the status of the patients and administer care accordingly.

Be prepared for emergencies by knowing the correct procedures and locations of the emergency crash cart.

Provide discharge instructions to the patient and their caregiver, asking for confirmation of understanding throughout the giving of instructions.

Provide a follow‑up assessment for the patient by calling the patient post‑surgery.

Complete all necessary documentation on Recovery Room nurses’ record.

Participate in quality improvement monitoring and keep track of daily logs.

Comply with cost containment practices.

Participate and attend in‑service programs and staff meetings.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited nursing program

Current R.N. License

Current BLS Certification

ACLS Certification

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected or normal vision and hearing to normal range. Requires exposure to communicable diseases, blood or body fluids.
