Pay Range $52,200 – $156,000 + $2,000 sign‑on bonus.
Job Description A certified Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) will implement treatment programs to assist pediatric patients with cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and/or social/emotional disabilities and delays. Services are provided in the home and community setting.
Requirements
ASHA certification
Texas State SLP License
Current CPR certification
Minimum of 1 year of experience (preferred)
Bilingual Spanish experience preferred
Feeding/Swallowing experience preferred
Responsibilities
Provide high quality care and meet the needs of patients and families by performing evaluations, interpreting assessment results, and developing goals.
Create and implement speech therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician.
Assist pediatric patients in developing or regaining cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and/or social/emotional functioning to improve independence.
Educate, coach, and empower caregivers to apply therapeutic activities in the child’s daily routine.
Coordinate with referral partners to provide services in accordance with physician orders.
Ensure continuity of care post‑discharge by designing and instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs.
Document patient care services and care coordination in the electronic medical record system.
Maintain patient confidentiality and trust.
