Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. Assist with hospital functions to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow. Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with applicable regulations for credentialed veterinary technicians. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments. Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with practice systems support. Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts. Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean and organized. Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members. Qualifications and experience
Veterinary technician licensure required or 2–3 years of Veterinary Technician experience (direct animal/patient care). Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Advanced knowledge in anesthesia and analgesia and familiarity with various surgical procedures and equipment. Advanced knowledge in dental prophylaxis and dental radiography. Ability to work rotating weekends and certain holidays. Desire to practice empathetic, high-standard care for patients. Team-oriented with collaboration and mutual support. Positive, kind, and trustworthy communication with patients, team members, and clients. Desire to grow and advance as a veterinary technician. Growth and development
