Location: Cape Coral Hospital - 636 Del Prado Blvd, Cape Coral, FL 33990 Department: Womens Care Center Work Type: Full Time Shift: 1/7:00:00 AM to 7:30:00 PM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $33.37 - $45.05 / hour Summary
Cape Coral Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to join their Birthing Suites. This RN will have at least 1 year of labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum experience. Relocation incentives in place for the qualified candidate. Responsibilities
Responsible for the safe delivery and documentation of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Perform responsibilities in five areas of nursing practice utilizing critical thinking, management, problem solving and differentiation of urgency in the role of: clinician, teacher, researcher, leadership and professional development. Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory standards. Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Support the organization's vision and mission. Use knowledge of patients' age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care. Contribute to quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. The nurse practice is guided by the code of ethics for nurses with interpretive statements. Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required. Associate or Bachelors' degree preferred. Experience Requirements:
Experience required. Qualified individuals will successfully complete the competency assessment. Experience requirements may vary by department. Please reference the Nursing Addendums for department specific requirements. Certification Requirements:
Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS, current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. For units that require ACLS, current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. Certification requirements may vary by department. Please reference the Nursing Addendums for department specific requirements. License Requirements:
Currently licensed in the State of Florida. Other Requirements:
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required. Certification in specialty area preferred. Benefits
