Job Overview Full‑Time Speech Language Pathologist to float between our NW and SW centers. Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY’s) are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Assess, treat, and help prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive communication, swallowing, and fluency.
Provide therapeutic intervention for clients with expressive and receptive language deficits, memory, attention, and problem‑solving challenges.
Select alternative communication forms via sign language, low‑tech devices, and high‑tech augmentative communication devices, when appropriate.
Ensure staff and families understand and follow results of medical tests and interventions related to swallow studies, surgeries, and medication changes.
Communicate client needs as part of a team composed of family, classroom staff, and peers.
Review client records to determine necessary speech and language services (screening, evaluation, and continued treatment).
Skills and Abilities
Remain calm and poised in challenging situations.
Communicate ideas clearly and comprehensively both orally and in writing.
Prioritize, multitask, and take direction from others.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Lift 50 pounds.
Be in good health.

Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited school.
Current active license in the state of Nebraska.
Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association.
Medical experience preferred.
Able to meet agency’s conditions of employment regarding health status and clearance with the Nebraska Child Abuse/Neglect Central Registry and/or Adult Abuse/Neglect Registry and the Nebraska State Patrol.
