Position Summary The mission of the Bilingual Virtual Chemistry Teacher is to provide an outstanding, personalized, and effective learning experience for students by incorporating a rigorous curriculum with a data-driven, student-centered instructional model. Candidates must be fluent in written and oral communication in English and Spanish and certified to teach Chemistry in New Jersey.
Responsibilities
Deliver both live and asynchronous instruction in a virtual environment, including real-time teaching, live help, and overview sessions.
Maintain a workload that supports fluctuating business needs, typically 3‑5 hours per day of live instruction.
Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences and personalize instruction for all students.
Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery and augment course content as required.
Maintain grade book and ensure student academic integrity, making placement and promotion decisions.
Provide timely feedback, respond to student discussions, and prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and local school representatives.
Additional Responsibilities (Optional, as Business Needs Require)
Mentor new hire teachers and support professional development.
Provide content support and subject‑matter expertise to enhance curriculum.
Lead instructional coaching sessions and develop training materials.
Assist with grading services, class coverage, and Special Education instruction.
Participate in continual quality improvement and innovation initiatives.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
New Jersey state teaching license with a Science endorsement in Chemistry.
Fluent in written and oral communication in English and Spanish.
Three or more years of classroom teaching experience, including at least one year of online teaching.
Ability to clear required background check.
Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting technology use in adult and child learning environments.
Experience teaching in virtual and/or brick‑and‑mortar settings.
Familiarity with online learning platforms.
Data‑driven instructional decision making.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and virtual learning tools.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and adaptability skills.

Working Environment Full‑time remote position with flexible scheduling options. Responsible for 40+ hours per week with flexible start/stop times. Requires a professional home office and on‑camera presentation.
Compensation Pay range: $45,000 – $50,000 USD per year.
