Overview
Behavioral Health Services Supervisor - Desert Oasis Case Management (Finance) Desert Oasis Case Management provides discharge planning, case management and therapy services to adult board and care residents and individuals discharging from inpatient psychiatric hospital. This position will provide administrative and clinical supervision to a team of clinical therapists and case managers who provide services to board and care residents. This position also monitors a contract for the Crisis Stabilization Unit and Psychiatric Health Facility. The position requires occasional fieldwork; a valid California Driver's License is mandatory. The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, and will start between 7:00 and 8:00 am. Location: Indio, CA. We are looking for candidates who
Are Licensed professionals (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) Have a minimum of two years post-licensure experience Have strong computer and organizational skills Have supervisory/lead experience For this recruitment, the position is eligible for a 10% DTR differential that is applied to hours physically worked. At any time, this differential can be removed. Responsibilities
Provide administrative and clinical supervision to a team of clinical therapists and case managers. Monitor contracts for related units (Crisis Stabilization Unit and Psychiatric Health Facility). Evaluate unit activities and recommend or implement changes to programs, policies, and procedures to align with goals. Guide and supervise staff, participate in hiring decisions, and coordinate in-service training and staff development programs. Make or review difficult consumer assessment and casework decisions. Collaborate with public, private, and community organizations to support mentally and emotionally disabled individuals; participate in behavioral health conferences and local committees; may participate in community needs assessment and program planning. Assist in preparing annual budget requirements and monitor expenditures; prepare workload statistics, casework data, and procedural reports. Provide information, consultation, and educational services to staff and the community. Qualifications
Two years of post-license professional experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting providing direct client services (assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy or counseling, and related indirect services to staff and community). Possession of a valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners. Candidates from out-of-state must obtain California licensure within three years of hire; may be eligible for a Mental Health Professional Licensing Waiver during the interim. Specific requirements for LPCC option include: six semester/nine quarter units in marriage and family therapy theory/application, at least 500 hours of supervised experience with couples/families/children, and a minimum of six hours of continuing education in marriage and family therapy per license renewal cycle. Must have a valid California Driver's License. Additional Information
