Schedule Full Time
Shift: Monday 8AM-12PM, Tuesday thru Friday 7:30AM to 5:30PM
The role you’ll contribute
The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients and follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, and collecting financial and demographic information.
Assists providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider.
Performs office duties as needed, including verifying insurance, collecting copays, and scheduling necessary appointments.
Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
Maintains familiarity with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests.
Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system.
Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.

Qualifications
High School Grad or Equivalency
Active American Heart Association BLS
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – AAMA, or
American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), or
American Medical Technologists (AMT), or
National Center for Competency Testing-Medical Assistant (NCMA), or
National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or
National Association for Healthcare Professionals-Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
Preferred qualifications
1+ year of practical medical assisting experience
