Position Details Temporary position with possibility of becoming a regular position. Requires a state phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV).

Location & Schedule:

Tarzana, CA. Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Rotational Weekends).

Pay Range:

$21.70–$25.10 per hour. Eligible for annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities

Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).

Administer oral solutions according to established training.

Research test/client information and confirm/verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.

Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.

Obtain identification, accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.

Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, preparing for transport).

Perform non‑patient‑facing duties (inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, using email).

Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.

Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.

Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance logs, temperature logs) in a timely manner.

Complete online and in‑person training courses promptly.

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Experience:

One year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience.

Ability to effectively communicate in English.
