Position Summary The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing complete diagnostic assessment and therapeutic procedures for patients who are suspected of having or demonstrating communication, language, cognitive, and/or dysphagia difficulties. The assessment and treatment procedures initiated will be in alignment toward patient care plan goals.
Adhering to the spirit and philosophy of the Adrian Dominican Sisters, the pathologist must ensure the rights of the patient and/or family are safeguarded through observation and documentation.
Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications
Entry level accepted.
Completed all accredited education requirements.
In possession of a valid license & CCC in good standing, enabling practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Nevada.
Ability to communicate effectively; utilizing computer, verbal, and written English.
Ability to perform basic functions of Microsoft Office.
Licensed Speech Language Pathology (NV) with (CCC) or completion of (CCC) from ASHA within 12 months of hire date.
CT CPRBLS – Basic Life Support – AHA.
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year of hospital-based, acute care practice.
Completed postgraduate education, possessing certification or CEUs in Acute care, geriatrics, head & neck cancer, voice, swallow & MBS studies, pediatrics, NICU & neurology, or any other clinically relevant coursework/seminars.
Advanced experience with computer software programs and clinical documentation in hospital-based practice.
Multilingual (Spanish, Tagalog).
Where You'll Work The role is based at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson and Las Vegas communities, part of Dignity Health, a not-for-profit, faith-based healthcare system guided by the vision and core values of the Adrian Dominican Sisters.
Pay Range $45.26 – $67.32 per hour.
