Postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Zhaoxia (Julia) Qu's laboratory at the University of Southern California (USC) Health Science Campus. The lab focuses on lung immunity, inflammation, and diseases, including lung cancer. Using mouse and human models and advanced technologies, the group aims to understand the mechanisms of lung disease development, progression, and therapy resistance, with the goal of developing innovative treatments for lung cancer.
We seek highly motivated, creative postdoctoral researchers with experience in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, pathology, cancer biology, bioinformatics, or related fields. Experience with animal models is desirable but not required. Candidates should be capable of working independently and collaboratively. Plan, design, and conduct experiments.
Maintain detailed experimental records.
Analyze, interpret, and summarize data.

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
Assist in maintaining lab routines and cleanliness.
Candidate Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in biological sciences or related field.
Experience in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, pathology, cancer biology, or bioinformatics.
Experience with animal models is a plus.
Additional Details: The annual salary range is $70,000 - $80,000. The final offer depends on experience, education, skills, and organizational factors.
