Overview

Radiology Technologist - Health Central Radiology. Hours: Sunday 12p-10:30p and Thursday 7a-5:30p. Location: Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital, Ocoee, FL. Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital is a 252-bed comprehensive medical and surgical acute-care facility serving the residents of west Orange County for more than 70 years. Services include 24/7 emergency care, cardiovascular and stroke care, neurosciences, oncology, orthopedics, minimally invasive robotic surgery, and more. The hospital holds multiple accreditations and designations in specialty services and has earned recognition from U.S. News & World Report and The Leapfrog Group. Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy and/or physiology for interpretation and/or intervention. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services with a demeanor aligned to quality patient care. Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures. Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality and adheres to Orlando Health mission and policies. Assesses patient condition and age-specific needs; provides instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results. Performs patient identification, collects clinical history, and ensures accurate documentation. Positions patient and equipment, adjusts technical factors, and obtains high-quality images for interpretation. Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification; ensures documentation of relevant anatomy. Applies radiation safety principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others; participates in Quality Control tasks. Demonstrates proficiency in contrast administration and manages adverse reactions or emergencies as required. Maintains appropriate infection prevention practices and uses standard precautions. Assists in supervision and training of student technologists and new staff; effectively uses corporate radiology systems. Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures patient safety and comfort. Maintains attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies and applicable laws. Qualifications

Education/Training:

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Licensure/Certification:

Valid Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure; ARRT certification; current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. Experience:
