Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Program
Location: Las Cruces, NM
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable 8-hour day shifts
8:00 am – 4:30 pm
9:00 am – 5:30 pm
Assigned based on census needs
Overview Travel Physical Therapist – Acute Program (13-Week Contract). This opportunity is ideal for experienced Physical Therapists who are confident working with complex patient populations in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments for patients across multiple acute care units.
Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing recovery.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary rehab teams to ensure continuity of care.
Treat a diverse patient population with complex medical needs including post-surgical, neuro, ortho, cardio, and trauma cases.
Document patient progress and maintain compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years required
Education: Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) required
Licensure: New Mexico PT license required; may be pending at submittal if start date is within 6 weeks, but license must be active prior to start
Clinical Skills: Experience with ICU, Neurology, Orthopedics, Cardiology, and Trauma
