The J3‑2 Heart Failure ICU specializes in medical conditions such as heart failure, myocardial infarctions, aneurysms, endocarditis, pulmonary hypertension and other acute and chronic diagnoses. As an RN Resident on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care from initial introduction to final send‑off, interact directly with patients, families and visitors, and take advantage of professional development resources including online and in‑person courses.

Schedule & Responsibilities A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation, 7:00am—7:30pm & 7:00pm—7:30am.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.

Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.

Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity, patient preference and resource availability.

Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.

Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.

Document in patients’ medical records.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program).

Current state licensure or pending licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) presented upon hire.

New‑grad or less than one year RN experience, or experienced RN moving from non‑inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one year of acute direct patient care RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Physical Requirements

Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination.

Standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.

Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.

Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range Minimum hourly: $33.50 Maximum hourly: $53.60
